Guess what happens when you have Gazelle Intensity and then you have the blessing of watching the Dumping Debt lesson 3 times in 4 days? When you combine that experience with the awesome testimonies of people like Pricilla and Josh, David and Gina it makes your head explode. Stacie and I have been comfortable lately and we spend a lot of time justifying our inability to pay down more debt because we have empty rental properties.
So today, we sold our motorhome and also put our Ford Focus up for sale. We have even been talking about possibly moving into an apartment to reduce our household expenses dramatically. We are about as fired up as we have been in a long time! Stacie and I pray for all of you. Keep climbing that mountain!

One of the reasons we like the FPU class so much is the leadership of you two guys. We too faced a debt snowball that was more like a debt Mt St. Helen's! But by getting focused we were able to blow it up!
We had at one point $638,416.63 in total debt including our 3 rental properties and our home mortgage! That was 2004, before Dave Ramsey and Our Total Money Makeover.
Talk about insurmountable!
During our snowball we also paid off my stupid fleeced truck of $17,000 over a 10 month period and a WAMU card balance of $18,500 at the end of February this year. During our snowball we sold one rental property to help pay down the debt. It was painful to sell but we needed to do it or spend the rest of our lives in debt.
During our snowball we were able to pay off all our credit cards, our vehicles and all other debts including our home mortgage!
After July our total debt should be down to $199,800 (just our rental property mortgages).
We plan to be totally debt free in 4 years with 3 paid for houses! We are gazelle intense and are attacking our remaining debt with a passion. No vacation this year, no restaurants and no new junk!
Because you need to live like no one else so that later you can live like no one else.
Like it says in the Bible, the people will perish without a plan - and before Dave Ramsey we had no plan. We were just working for the banks, and now we are working for a secure and debt free future!
Alex and Stacie, you're setting an awesome example for everyone in your classes. You're walking the walk, not just talking the talk.
David and Gina, you are inspirational! Congratulations on your accomplishments!
